Supervision can be a way of life. We can apply what we discover there onto all areas of our lives. Think super-vision- standing back a little, viewing something from all sorts of different perspectives, including shining light into our own sometimes unconsciously held core beliefs that might be limiting our capacity to be with something challenging. Those places where we find ourselves stuck in a therapeutic or life situation can be where we most grow if we are able to reflect with another who will both support and challenge us. Supervision is a space we can bring all the unsaid material, our shadow self and safely explore and get to know these aspects and in so doing become more available, playful and human ! Supervision is a space to discuss the technicalities of practice, a space for educational exploration. And its a space to discuss the management of practice- the practicalities and contracts.
